Pieter brings over 15 years of experience in engineering, management and marketing with significant expertise in systems development, software, general management and other fields such as digital video and RFID. Prior to RFIsoft, he was one of the founders of the Digital Video Systems business unit at Philips. This business focused on MPEG digital compression video technology for broadcast studio systems, digital cable, satellite and terrestrial television and set-top boxes. Pieter managed the Automation and later the Personal TV and Internet TV businesses of Philips.

Prior to moving to California, Pieter was a member of the Philips Research team, where he worked in the field of TV conditional access systems and was member of the MPEG-2 committee, as well as the European Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) initiative.

He earned a Master degree in Computer Science from the University of Delft in The Netherlands.

Over more than two decades in logistics, Paul has worked in some of the most innovative market segments. Prior to RFIsoft, he was Vice President and corporate officer at FedEx’s industry leading Freight division. He helped lead the division to best in industry ROI and the number one spot in customer satisfaction. His team was also responsible for developing an RFID strategy and market plan for the booming segment of RFID in logistics. Prior to moving to California, Paul co-founded Edvantage LLC, a Florida based startup developing rapid education tools for the adult population.

Paul moved to Florida to head up the Paper and Forest Products division at CSX Transportation where he engineered the turnaround of a failing division that enabled profitability and improved service. In the eighties and early nineties, he worked at Sea-Land Service, a global transportation provider, where he held leadership positions in operations, finance and refrigerated marketing, managing teams around the world.

Paul has an MBA from New York University, Stern School and a BA from St. Peters College.
